Installing
Open it, drag it, grant one permission

Open the disk image
Drag hyprmac onto the Applications folder beside it.

Launch it from Applications
There is no Dock icon — hyprmac is a menu bar app, so look for the workspace numbers at the top of the screen rather than in the Dock.

Turn on Accessibility
hyprmac asks once and opens the right settings pane for you. It is the permission that lets an app move windows, and it is the only one hyprmac wants.
The first launch tidies every window you have open into tiles. Quitting with ⌥⇧Q puts them all back where it found them.
What you are installing
One megabyte, and nothing else
No runtime, no framework
Native Swift against the system frameworks, which is how an entire window manager fits in about a megabyte. Nothing is downloaded on first run and there is no bundled Electron, Python or Node.
No installer, no helper
It is an ordinary application in your Applications folder. Nothing is written to
/Library, no launch daemon is installed, and no password is asked for.
One permission
Accessibility, and only Accessibility — the permission that lets an app move windows. Not Screen Recording, not Full Disk Access. System Integrity Protection stays on.
Your config is a text file
Written to ~/.config/wisp/wispos.conf on first run, in hyprland's own
syntax. Reload it with ⌥⇧C. Nothing else on your machine is touched.
No account, no telemetry
Nothing to sign in to and nothing phoning home. There is no analytics, no crash reporter and no update ping — your layout and your window titles stay on the machine.
Uninstalling is dragging it to the Trash
Quit it first so it unparks your windows. If you want every trace gone, delete
~/.config/wisp/ and ~/Library/Logs/hyprmac.log too.

What you are signing up for
Some apps will refuse to be tiled
Electron and Catalyst apps keep a minimum size of their own. hyprmac catches them, floats them at their smallest size and closes the tiling around them — but the first relayout may flash an overlap before it learns.
Single display, for now
A change of primary display already relays out and re-parks, but one workspace set per screen is on the roadmap rather than in the build.
Global shortcuts cost you something
They are consumed system-wide, so the arrow bindings take over whatever macOS used them for. ⌥/ lists everything currently bound, and every one of them is rebindable in the config.
Read the log before reporting
~/Library/Logs/hyprmac.log is timestamped and kept across launches. Every
workspace whose shape changes gets a line with the cause, so grep "tree ws1"
usually names the step that did it — then send it to
[email protected].
